Robert O'Connor is a London-based football journalist. He reports regularly for Sky Sports, Bleacher Report and the Independent, and contributes to Al-Jazeera, VICE, the Telegraph and the Blizzard. He has spent time on the margins of formerly-Communist Europe, and is currently writing a book about the separatist wars that accompanied the collapse of the one-party state.
